With many children already finished school for the Easter holidays, and others (like ours) finishing at the end of this week, there's still plenty of time to for Easter baking and crafts. You will find plenty of inspiration for baking and yummy Easter treats in my seasonal Pinterest board. These Chocolate Crispy Easter Eggs are one of many simple recipe ideas that you can make with the kids, whatever your cooking ability.
I've used plastic moulds for these eggs that I picked up in the clearance after last Easter, but you can find similar on Amazon or Ebay for a reasonable price.
Instead of adding a Creme Egg to the middle you could add mini eggs, jellybeans or your favourite sweets or chocolates.
The eggs are quite large and each would easily serve 4 as a dessert - perhaps with some chocolate or mint custard poured over! They would also make a great Easter gift, wrapped up in cellophane and tied with ribbon.
